Happy Thursday. Just checking in with a little “Whats New” edition of my current status…..
So I have pretty much recovered from my wild weekend LOL. Following the Saturday Tough Mudder and Sunday Deadlifting competition I felt like a train wreck. THis sensation lasted till about Tuesday when I hit the squat rack for some deep squats. The feeling of putting that fully loaded bar on my shoulders mentally told my body it was time to feel 100% or else that weight on my shoulders wasn’t going to come back up haha. Since then I have felt nice 🙂
One thing that is irritating though is the fact that I got some MASSIVE blisters on both my feet from the race. Despite my efforts, both blisters got infected and now I have been shoeless (doctors order) for the past 4 days. Here I am, walking around in socks and sandals all week long! I have still be weight training and performing my classes per usual, but I have been doing it all in socks haha. My toes are getting so ripped up now from the lack of protection. Hopefully I will be back to my shoe days by the weekend.
Weight training in general is going well. Have had some solid workouts this week. Diet is still in check. Only 17 days left in my gym’s transformation challenge! This 24 week challenge has been going on for a LONGGGGG time. Crazy, over the course of it I have love 15 pounds. The package is coming along nicely so hopefully when those 17 days are up, I can be the one who takes home the cash price of $2,000 bucks 🙂
