Hey everyone! Happy Friday 🙂 TGIF! How was your week!? I’m so pumped its Friday and the weekend is upon us. This week seemed to fly by once Wednesday passed. The weather is starting to get warmer and the sun is coming out more often. Knowing that summer is almost here is making me ancy! Time to really step up my HIIT cardio game and continue to tear up fat!
Today Tom and I hit up my new favorite workout of the week. That ofcourse being my TRUE STRENGTH day. Since its establishment all of two weeks ago, I have pushed 2 or 3 PRs. I attribute alot of that success to this day. Focusing on functional strength rather then isolated muscles will help your body grow stronger as a whole rather than is just one area.
For today’s workout we started with 5/3/1 Week 3 Deadlifts. My training weight is currently 370

After that Tom and I headed outside to conquer some Tire Flips!
Then to cap our workout, we both partook in my gym’s annual “Fran Friday.” We run this day every 4th Friday and everyone gets super competitive with their times. I love it. Last time I completed this staple CrossFit workout in 3:24. Today I went to battle and completed the routine with a time of 3:15. 9 seconds off! I’m coming for sub 3!
In other news, the flavor of the week in my gym for supplements is this new product called “Bio-Gro” This product is appearently in a cateogory of it’s own in regards to your “Protein Powders” or “Creatines.” I really don’t know much about this supplement besides the fact that it increases protein synthesis. I got it at a pretty cheap price so I am currently running it and will keep you guys up to date on reviews! Fingers crossed on it being good stuff!
