Good Afternoon everyone. Happy Friday! We did it, another week conquered with hopefully another goal accomplished. Every week is loaded with opportunities. It is always nice to look back on it all on Friday and say that you did your best to capitalize on all that was out there 🙂
Today Tombo and I hit the gym ready for battle. I renamed our Friday session “True Strength Day” rather then “Back Day” or “Chest Day” because on Friday we perform 4 exercises. We Deadlift, Tire Flip, Farmers Carry, and Prowler Push. These exercises do not specifically work one body part, rather the body as a whole. So because of that, I proudly presented today “True Strength Friday’s”…..not to be redundant or anything haha
Today was a great day in the gym. My brother really started to hit the form on his deadlifts. I was extremely impressed for only being his second time deadlifting. Although he kept the weight very light today, I told him that he can expect great gains from that one exercise in the near future 🙂 On another note, He has now performed two weeks with me at the gym. Now that he has become accustom to all the movements and gotten a feel for the weights he can use, starting Monday he will begin to log his workouts in a notebook. As I like to say, starting Monday he will be “Tracking and Stacking!”
Deadlifts Week 2 5/3/1 Training Weight 370
70% 3 260
80% 3 300
90% 3 335
I BELIEVE the tire weighs roughly 500 pounds. It’s 24 x 20 L (I don’t know what that means, that’s just what it says on the tire. We flip it the length of the building which is about 12 flips
12 flips x3
6 45LB Plates + Tom Sitting on it 🙂
This workout was BRUTAL! Him and I are both exhausted now. As painful as it was though, we both feel really accomplished just because this was our first real out door session of the season. We got to do keg carries and prowler pulls on Wednesday but we were a bit rushed. Today we spent a good hour+ outside 🙂
Time for work, meals, and rebuilding!
Any questions, comments, or concerns feel free to hit me up. Keep setting your goals high and working hard to achieve them!
CHASING THE TOP!
