What made my day so good, a few things…
With the weather being so awesome today (low 70’s), I seized the day and hit the local woods for DAY 1 of my HIIT cardio training. This was an awesome time. (This was my excited face following my warm up haha) For my HIIT workout I found a nice incline hill which took me about 20 seconds to climb and 15 seconds to return to start. After the full up/down my heart rate would spike at 165 B/M. I would let it fall back to 120 before sprinting back up and down again. I repeated this for 10 total trips taking me about 20 minutes. I then followed this with a 15 minute steady state run with an average HR of 130. AWESOME!
Next piece of awesome news, after I got home from work and went to hit the gym, my younger brother of the age of 19 asked if he could hit the gym with me! This is legit the first time he has ever done such a task! I was so ampped up! He and I then went on to CRUSH chest and triceps together and it was awesome! Scope out this workout for an awesome strength boost!

I REALLY hope my brother catches the “workout bug” and comes back to the gym with me tomorrow. It is so awesome training with a partner, especially a relative. Not to mention, for his first time back in the gym in probably a year plus he did an amazing job and I was super proud of him. Tombo = Chasing The Top!
Speaking of training partners, today while I was out in my yard, a neighbor approached me and after talking to him for a few minutes he informed me that he is registered to run in the same Tough Mudder as myself! This was nuts haha. He asked if we could start training together and I was so thrilled. Heart rate moniter AND a running partner…. TM2013 WATCH OUT!
Final note… TAKE A LOOK AT THIS MEAL! This was that mix I mentioned a few post back. What it is is my normal oats mashed with my egg white omlet. This looks pretty fancy coming from ME! Plain Jane when it comes to nutrition LOL. It was so good I made it post workout as well. Try it some time!
