Goodmorning everyone! Happy Sunday!
I hope you are all having an awesome weekend! I know I have missed a couple of days posting here so Let’s catch up!
My last post was on Thursday. This week was insanely busy for me in terms of work. Two of my co-workers went on vacation so I had to cover their shifts and still not having a car really made things difficult. I was UBER stressed, but we overcome! I have today off from working out and got a great night sleep so things are good 🙂 HOW ARE YOU!?
For today’s post, I would like to talk to you about something I really REALLY need to work on…..MINDSET! An individuals mindset is something that truly sets one apart from another. Not only “mindset” in the broad sense, but having a positive mindset.
In my opinion, two individuals could have the exact same talent levels, the exact same abilities. The difference between the performance of these two athletes is determined through their mindset. The athlete who believes in himself and is positive in the encounters they are approaching will outperform the other. This applies to everything, a test, a major project, a tough time. The individual who believes in themselves, their abilities, and stays positive through it all will overcome and walk away from the endeavor stronger in my opinion.
A famous quote that I really enjoy hearing states “Start Running Your Day and Stop Having It Run You.” This is absolutely essential with your mindset. If you have a positive mindset, you tackle the day with a full head of steam and confidence and run the day the way YOU want it to go. And if something doesn’t go your way, you continue to go after it until you get the outcome YOU want! You’re RUNNING YOUR DAY!
I really need to work on this. Far too often I get sidetracked by something or distracted. I sometimes find myself allowing the day to run me. NO MORE! I need to get my mind on track and inline to run my day the day I want it to run! Whose with me? Whose going to build their mind to operate in the drivers seat? Focusing on positivity, belief, and confidence in themselves and the abilities they hold. Let’s get after it!
More good news, as I mentioned earlier, this week I will be starting a new workout routine. Dr. Jim Stoppani’s 1-2-3 Lean Program. My new workout schedule will look like such:
Monday: Chest, Triceps, Abs
Tuesday: Shoulders, Legs, Calves
Wednesday: Back, Biceps, Traps
Thursday: Chest, Triceps, Abs
Friday: Shoulders, Legs, Calves
Saturday: Back, Biceps, Traps
I am extremely excited to start this program and TEAR IT UP! Switching routines up, shocking the body up, and giving it all I got!
I hope you all have an awesome rest of the weekend! Enjoy yourself, take in some sun, recover, and mentally and physically prepare to CONQUER this week!
