Good Afternoon everyone. Happy Saint Patrick’s day to you all! I hope you are having a wonderful day. I just have a little bit of Sunday information I would like to share with you.
I’d first like to talk about something I find of great importance. This concept I lacked for a long time in my life and now I find it invaluable. It is the concept of setting short term and long term goals. In times past, I had the assumption in my head that I had goals set. “Sure, I have goals…..” But in actuality, what was my goal? Whether it be in the gym or in life, what was I working towards? I really didn’t know. Looking it back on it now, I wouldn’t say my efforts were for nothing, but I find now that setting a goal and working towards it makes your efforts alot more productive. Nothing in my eyes is more satisfying then setting a goal and then crossing it off the list following its accomplishment. I would like to share with you all my goals for accountability and to exemplify that I practice what I preach.
In case you guys cannot read that list, I will go through all these and give you a brief synopsis.
Beginning with the short term goals, I have Master Double Unders This ofcourse is the advance version of jump roping when you complete two rotations in one jump rather than the traditional one rotation.
Improve Fran Time In my first run at Fran, I completed this famous Crossfit workout with a time somewhere in the 6 minute mark. In my second attempt, 4 minutes and 24 seconds. Third attempt 3 minutes and 28 seconds. Now I’m looking to get it down into the mid-2 minute range. I know I can do it, time to lock and load.
Master Muscle Ups Both Bar+Rings Also a crossfit movement, this exercise looks amazing when performed smoothly. I have performed 2 ring muscle ups in my life so I would like to get these down PAT!
Hit 6 45LB Plates On Box Jump Currently, my PR is 5 45LB Plates + 25LB Plate stacked on a 24″ Rogue box. I need to break that 6 plate barrier.
Begin Running For Obstacle Races As many of you may or may not know, I am currently signed up for 6 obstacle races beginning on June 1st with the Tough Mudder. I need to start training now so I can dominate come June.

Join the 1000LB Club (Bench 275/Squat 365/Deadlift 405) Hitting these PR’s will get me there.
Take Over UT UT is the name of the bootcamp I attend, I want to take it over meaning just dominate the class every session. It is a very competitive environment and I need to bring my A game every session.
Begin Spartan Training Class With the obtaining of my PT Cert, I am scheduled to begin teaching a Saturday Morning “Spartan Training” class to aid in the preparation of our Spartan Races. I am extremely excited for this and NEED to pass this PT test to make this happen.
Help Ricky Ricky is my cousin. He asked me for help in him putting on quality weight for hockey.
Win Rugged Maniac and Finish Top 20 the Spartan Races, Tough Mudder, and Warrior Dash I love these obstacle course races. Love love love them! With proper preparation and the right mindset, I know I can dominate this line up. I finished in 33rd overall (3,000+ racers) in the Rugged last year and 255th (4,000+ racers) in the Spartan last August so I know I can make this happen!
If you guys haven’t made a goal list yet, take the time today or in the near future and really piece together a quality list. I’m telling you it will really help you in pushing yourself, staying focused, motivated, and on track. Nothing beats accomplishing a goal.
One more quick piece I would like to add, I mentioned a few post ago that I’m trying to establish a MENU MAKEOVER! Well in my weekly trip to the grocery store today, I added a few more WEAPONS to the arsenal!
I got some nice Barley, Quinoa, and Flax Seed to add to my daily meal plan! I am so excited to pencil these babies in somewhere! We’re making improvements daily!
Well that’s all for me today. I hope you all have a wonderful remainder of the day and enjoy yourself on this Irish holiday. If you have any questions, comments, or advice for me, hit me up! I want to hear from you! Keep pushing and lets GET AFTER IT! CHASING THE TOP!
