HAPPY FRIDAY!!!! I am sooo excited to finally be able to kick back and relax tonight and wind down from this week. Today was a crazy day! Still car-less, I’ve been needing to borrow my Mother’s van to get to UT Bootcamp. To add to this predicament, I had work at 6 AM. With Bootcamp at 5 AM, I told the instructure on Thursday that I wouldn’t be able to attend. He responded by telling me we were doing a 10 minute AMRAP and I would have plenty of time to get the workout out of the way. LOL THANKS! That’s good news.
SO as you guys may or may not know, I like doing crossfit workouts every now and then. I suppose you could say I dabble in it. Well today we performed the famous Crossfit Invitational workout 13.2. This workout calls for 10 minutes of 5 overhead presses (115/95) 10 Deadlifts (Same Weight) and 15 Box Jumps (24/20). ANDDD GO!
OUCH OUCH OUCH. After 10 minutes I completed 8 rounds+5 OH+ 5 Deadlifts for a total of 250 reps. Let me tell you, this workout was NOOOO joke! My lungs were on fire for up to 2 hours after this. The box jumps were the worse part and my legs and calves are still BURNING! Give this workout a try for a crazy cardio burn!
After that it was off to work for a nice little shift of punching the time clock. My legit lift of box jumps and deadlifts was scheduled to occur at 11ish so I packed accordingly.
This was my preworkout meal at work. 1 Cup Egg whites (in replace of water) with 1 cup Oats and 1 broken up Cliff Granola bar (Honey Oats) with cinnamon and unsweetened cocoa powder.

60% 5 Reps 225
70% 5 Reps 260
80% 5 Reps 300
On top of a 24″ box, I completed a jump with 5 45LB Plates. Then I hit my PR of 5 45’s and 1 25LB. Then I went for a new PR of 6 45LB Plates and kinda/sorta landed a few times but nothing I call a full rep. I was still happy though because me atleast hitting that level proved to me I can get up there. Need to keep working and hit that next time!
After this I did some double under work followed with the TABATA Challenge at my gym! Excuse my messy handwriting Not bad. I’m not a big fan of Tabata but I had to complete the challenge for the contest within our gym.
