You have been warned! This post is going to be a long one, I have a lot of (hopefully) good content for you 🙂
Let’s begin with a little nutrition shall we!? Last night I continued on my stir fry express with a little tilapia mix with 1 cup of broccoli, 1 handful of leafy spinach, all cooked in 1/2 tablespoon coconut oil. I love hearing the sizzle as the pan warms up with all the muscle building ingredients absorbing the coconut oil. I even splashed a little lemon juice on top of it all while cooking just to boost flavor even more. Overnight I have turned into a cooking phenom LOL!
The meal always looks so much bigger in the pan 😦 I woofed this down in about 2 minutes. Tilapia is so tricky. I had 8 OZ on that pan and yet when I finished eating everything I felt like I was still starving. Great lean protein source though.
After fueling up with a great dinner, I woke up bright and early this morning at 4:30AM to begin preparation for UT Bootcamp. I was excited because I finally got to try my new Top Secret Nutrition’s BCAA HyperBlend Energy!
Now BCAA HyperBlend Energy is in replace of my Top Secret Cardio Igniter that I just finished so this review will be based off comparison to CI. Upon first opening, I was extremely excited because the scoop was on top! Always a nice way to start off with a supplement and furthermore your day LOL. Next was it’s texture. CI was more of a grainy, thicker texture. BCAA HB was much more fluffy and light. I have the watermelon flavor and I put on scoop into about 8 OZ of water and shook it up. Great mixability and an extremely pleasant smell to it 🙂 The taste was awesome. Again, smooth and light. CI had a little more texture and weight to it while consuming (if that makes sense). I really enjoyed gulping this product down and I felt a nice kick of energy right away. I hit my UT Bootcamp with a full head of steam! I will continue to log this product for you guys as time progresses.

That’s right, week 7 of the competition. 15 more weeks to go! Need to step up the intensity with my workouts and diet! More importantly though, this whole diet thing is really starting to get to me! I’m beginning to crave a cheat meal like no other! Right now, my lifesaver has been this go to!……
I have been adding this to my oatmeal like a madman just to stay sane. If you guys have never tried or heard of unsweetened cocoa powder, believe it or not it is actually healthy for you. According to an article written by Leah L. Porter, the director of the scientific and regulatory programs for the Chocolate Manufacturers Association and the American Cocoa Institute, unsweetened cocoa powder has been determined to be rich in flavonoids, which is a subclass of polyphenols. Some of these flavonoids found in unsweetened cocoa powder are flavonals, epicatechin, catechin and proanthocyanidins, all of which contain powerful antioxidant properties. These antioxidant properties can help slow down the aging process and prevent cardiovascular disease. In addition, according to the United States Department of Agriculture, unsweetened cocoa powder contains more of these healthful properties than other cocoa forms because it contains a higher content of cocoa. Moreover, the USDA even reports that antioxidants are thought to help prevent cancer, stroke and heart disease. If you are dieting and going nutty like me, give this sweet treat a try, but of course, consume in MODERATION! 🙂
