Whatsup everyone!? Happy Friday! TGIF 🙂 Thank goodness. I’m beat. Today has been a LONGGGG DAY. All day has been a battle, an uphill battle, a downhill battle, whatever you want to call it, a BATTLE none the less. Let’s take a look
So the grind this morning began at 4:30 AM when I awoke to my alarm and started sipping on some ice water to get my day going. Always tough sipping on ice water first thing in the morning but I swear it really helps waking you up and getting your body turning. I got to 5 AM UT a little early today to get a solid warm up in due to the fact that we were doing the famous crossfit workout “FRAN” today. I was having real bad anxiety about this workout just knowing how challenging it is and how competitive UT bootcamp is. Also, I had never done Fran with the men’s weight which is 95 LB. The first and only other time I performed the routine I did it with 65 LB which is the female weight and the workout was still crushing LOL!
How the workout goes for those that don’t know. For time:
21 Thrusters….21 Pullups
15 Thrusters….15 Pullups
9 Thrusters….9 Pullus
For men: 95LB For women: 65LB (on the thrusters)
This workout may not look difficult, but it is BRUTAL! Again, with this being the first time using the 95LB thrusters, I was uber nervous. Regardless, I gave it my best effort and completed the workout in 4 minutes 24 seconds 🙂
After that I had work and finally got to hit up my main weight training session for the day which was DEADLIFTS!
Friday, Deadlifts, Week 3, Training weight 360….Things be getting real
75% 5 reps 270LB
85% 3 reps 305LB
95% 1+ reps 340LB (Banged out 3!)
Shortcut to Size All reps in the 3-5 range
Deads: 315 LB 3 reps. 295 LB 3 reps. 275 LB 5 reps.
After that I hit up some box jumps and finished with calve raises and the ab wheel
This is just a pic I snapped yesterday. I was in between classes and it was meal time so I rushed to my car to SLAM down Tupperware city! 5 OZ Chicken Tenderloins with 1 cup KALE and 6 OZ Sweet Potato with of course a handful of leafy spinach. Even on the road guys, you still have to eat clean. Even if that means staying up a little later to prep and pack meals. THIS IS ONE OF THE STEPS THAT MAKES THE DIFFERENCE! I can’t express that enough. It’s the little things that add up. Believe and Achieve
You don’t have to watch these videos I just love these two songs and they get me PUMPED in the gym 🙂 I picture myself as the young man in the vids LOL
