7 AM here and I just woke up with my preworkout breakfast meal of 1 scoop Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard Whey Protein mixed with 1 cup Oats and 1 Banana sprinkled with Cinnamon. I’m not sure if I have mentioned this before but I normally like to save eating my whole eggs till after my workout just for the fact that I train in the AM and whole eggs take some time to digest. I get so anxious to hit the weights that waiting for whole eggs to digest would just make me fidget! Whey protein digest super fast.
I entitled this “Cold Cardio” because the temp outside right now is standing at a whole 6 degrees! I’m freezing right now haha. But aside from the fact, the point of this blog was to throw out a nice cardio routine I plan on doing later today. BOOM Let’s go!
You can do this routine in a circuit or finish one exercise completely before moving to the next. Up to you:
Burpees 1 rep-2 reps-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1
ButterFly Situps (Same Format)
BW Squats (Same Format)
Pushups (Same Format)
By breaking the reps down as shown, it makes the reps feel a little less daunting. In reality, you are actually performing 100 reps per exercise, or 400 reps total! The run at the end is optional just because I know following all the movements your going to be pretty wipped, I know I will be. THe theory behind the run, to avoid the actual science of it, is when you perform a high intense cardio routine like above, it is much easier for fat cells to transport into the blood stream and furthermore be burned as fuel! A popular sports supplement, L-Carnitine, is very helpful in aidding this process and buring more fat!
