Hey Everyone. Happy Monday. How is everyone doing??
So this is the start to my finals week at school so the stress is a little higher then normal. No biggie though, proper preparation prevent piss poor performance so just got to make sure I stay above the curve. We got this.
Still managed to slam in a workout this morning. Unfortunately there was no UT bootcamp this morning because the instructor is in FLA. No worries, I took advantage of the time away to sleep in a little bit LOL. Regardless, Monday is Leg day so lets get to work.
I started my training with my 5/3/1 Week 4 deload. The numbers went like such
55% 175 for 5 reps
65% 205 for 5 reps
75% 230 for 5 reps
Following that I initiated the Matt Acton Leg workout I saw on his instagram last night. If you haven’t checked out this down to earth IFBB Pro, look him up on Instagram at MattAisgod. Crazy intensity. I actually got Matt to tailor the numbers around my MAX as well which was sweet.
2 x 185 for 15 reps
2 x 255 + chains for 5 reps
255 for 10 reps
255 + chains for 5 reps
185 for 10 reps
My legs were pretty well fried after that, but if you want to grow you have to keep going.
Box Squats 4 sets of 6 with 245
I then tried a new exercise I read about on Bodybuilding.com called the Zercher Squat. Read up on it when you get the chance. Very odd motion but affective. I banged out 110 LB for 4 sets at 12 reps
Walking Lunges w/ straight bar 3 sets 10 steps 90 LB
10 Minutes HIIT cardio 30 seconds on 45 seconds off
SWEATFEST. Give this workout a try for sure for a nasty pump in the legs. This will for sure beef up your Monday. Try it and let me know what you think!
