Hey everyone! Happy halloween!! I hope everyones having a great day and some great workouts.
I know we will all be in this situation tonight or in the near future: craving candy lol. At my house for example my mom bought 5 bags of reese’s cups and milk ways. I loveeee candy but too much can do some damage to your physique!
My advice to all, three options. One, dont eat any at all. This is definitely the toughest of the three options. All the sugar and fats in candy really won’t benefit you in the long run so staying away from the all together will help you avoid empty calories and slow’d progress.
Option two: moderation. If you find that you can’t bare the temptation any more, go ahead and have some candy. A piece or two won’t kill you lol. But moderation is key here, a piece or two, not the entire bag! This way you get to enjoy some of your desired favorite candies but don’t slow your progress.
Option three: post workout! Post workout is the time when this candy may deem some positive light. After a TOUGH workout, your glycogen levels get depleted. To restore these depleted levels, a quick, fast acting sugar is crucial! After a nice back workout or leg workout is really a great time to refill these glycogen levels. Then would be a perfect time to enjoy some of your halloween favorites.
